Day 1: Amritsar to Chandigarh – Gateway to the Hills
Begin your journey from Amritsar and drive to Chandigarh, the planned city nestled at the foothills of the Shivalik Range. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and unwind. You can enjoy a short visit to Sukhna Lake or Rock Garden in the evening. Overnight stay in Chandigarh.
Day 2: Chandigarh to Narkanda – Through the Apple Belt
After breakfast, depart from Chandigarh and head towards Narkanda via Shimla. The drive offers scenic views of pine forests, terraced hills, and apple orchards. Reach Narkanda by evening and soak in the fresh mountain air. Overnight stay in Narkanda.
Day 3: Narkanda to Kalpa – Along the Sutlej River
Today’s journey takes you deeper into Himachal Pradesh as you drive toward Kalpa, a quaint Himalayan village known for its views of the Kinner Kailash range. Drive through Rampur and follow the winding road along the Sutlej River. Reach Kalpa and enjoy the mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Day 4: Kalpa to Tabo – Entering Spiti Valley
Start early and head toward Tabo, entering the stark and beautiful Spiti Valley. Pass through Khab (the confluence of Sutlej and Spiti rivers) and drive over rugged terrain and high-altitude deserts. Reach Tabo, home to one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas. In the evening, visit the Tabo Monastery and explore the peaceful village. Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 5: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar & Pin Valley
After breakfast, leave Tabo and drive towards Kaza, the heart of Spiti. En route, visit the Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff with panoramic valley views. If time permits, take a detour into Pin Valley National Park, known for its rare flora, fauna, and stunning scenery. Continue to Kaza and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 6: Kaza Sightseeing – High-Altitude Monasteries & Villages
Spend the day exploring the region around Kaza. Visit the Key Monastery, the largest in Spiti, located on a hilltop with breathtaking views. Head to Kibber Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world, and later visit Langza, known for its fossils and the iconic Buddha statue. Return to Kaza for the night. Day 7: Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kunzum Pass

Day 8: Chandratal to Manali – Back to Green Hills

Day 9: Manali to Amritsar – The Final Descent
On the last day of your expedition, drive back to Amritsar via Mandi and Hoshiarpur.
